Do not rely on the app for urgent care
Do not use the app to make emergency or time-critical medical decisions. If you think you may be experiencing a medical emergency, call Triple Zero (000) in Australia or your local emergency service.
Readings have limitations
Wearable readings can be incomplete, delayed or inaccurate because of fit, movement, skin contact, circulation, device condition, battery, permissions, connection quality or other factors. A score, alert or missing reading is not a clinical conclusion.
Speak with a qualified professional
Seek advice from a qualified health professional before changing medication, treatment, exercise or health management. This is especially important if you have a heart, respiratory, neurological or mental health condition, are pregnant, feel unwell, or have been advised to limit breath holding or controlled breathing.
Breathwork safety
Practise breathing exercises in a safe position and environment. Do not practise while driving, in water, operating machinery or anywhere a loss of awareness could cause harm. Stop immediately if you experience pain, marked dizziness, faintness, numbness, panic, unusual shortness of breath or other concerning symptoms.
Breath Assessment
Nijmegen, BOLT, cadence, controlled nasal exhale and nasal ability checks are self-guided wellness observations. They are not diagnostic tests and should not be used to rule in or rule out a medical condition.
Personal responsibility
You remain responsible for deciding whether a routine or recommendation is appropriate for you. Use the app within your abilities and follow advice from your treating professionals.
